Weird rearview mirror question

OK. Normally when you adjust your rear view mirror you use your right hand and grab the right side of the mirror (unless you're in Japan, England or Austrailia). I just noticed that I can't grab the mirror on the top of the right side of it cause my fingers won't fit between the top of the mirror and the dome light. I have to grab the mirror on the right side itself.
It's not that I care exactly wear I have to grab it, it's just that it seems that it's mounted a little higher than before. As you know, in the S2000, it's already hard to see out the back window all the way down the road (to watch for cops you know), so having it mounted higher makes it worse. I've gotta scrunch down more.
Problem is I can't really remember what it was like before!
