Weird Squeaky Noise
I get this squeaky noise from my car that I have pinpointed to somewhere behind my left ear. It's weird though because it only happens if the car is driven above 50 mph. From that speed on, the squeak persists whether the road is smooth or not. I am guessing that it is coming from the top and maybe at higher speeds, the extra wind buffeting causes the top to squeak. Any suggestions on how I can cure this problem would be helpful. Thanks.
It's a 2003 completely stock. I noticed that the sound persists with the top down as well. It's coming from the driver-side rear of the car, right behind my left ear. It may originate at the point where the top is bolted onto the car, but sticking my hand down there doesn't reveal anything loose. The strangest thing about it though, is that the squeek is nonexistant below 55 mph. I swear.

I'm 100% positive it's not the seatbelt. In fact, I can hear both the seatbelt and that other noise at the same time. The seatbelt makes a rubbing noise, but this other one is more like a squeaky mattress. I can make the seatbelt stop by lifting it up off the seat, but the other one, I can't seem to pinpoint.

I don't mean to jack your thread, if that's what it is I'm doing... how do you correct the seat-belt rubbing squeak? I've tried to really clean the contact area, using leather cleaner to get off the black mark, but it still squeaks some (not as much). Any successful ideas?
