Default Welcome s2000 people!

I am a new owner of a 2001 yellow S2000 with 177,000Km

body looks good, there a few scratches. But no dents on the body. Motor seems fine, 3rd gear has a alittle noise when going in, When cold. after its warm its all good.

my previous cars were:

Mazda rx8 NEW
Cobalt SS Tc New

this car is the oldest car I ever bought! I am currently working on restoring it to better shape.

Does anyone have any comments or suggestions for my S2k?

As with any new purchase I would replace:

-engine oil(pennzoil ultra or amsoil signature series)
-oil filter(royal purple or amsoil)
-transmission fluid(amsoil)
-diff fluid(amsoil)
-inspect brake pads(just so you know how much life you have left before destroying your rotors)

and at some point replace the brake fluid in the brake and clutch lines

and with those miles definitely check the plugs(ngk iridium) and do a valve lash check/adjustment

and go here to see lots of yellow s2000's, get a feel for what you may like on your car(I prefer the low profile trunk spoiler that wraps perfectly over the brake light.)
