What about the 3rd recall

The latest seat belt recall reminded me to visit the Honda Japan web site. If you go to the recall section (http://www.honda.co.jp/recall), you'll see three separate recalls for the S2000 -- the boot cover and seat belts are already discussed here. But what about the third recall: the steering arm failure? Does anyone know why the recall only happened in Japan and not in the rest of the world?

My understanding was it was only on early build cars in the JDM. By the time cars started shipping to the US they had identified the problem and fixed future production.

Wasn't there a guy that frequents the S2000 boards that had that happen? This link from Shelley's s2ki.com site shows some pics of it I think...
