Default What is the advantage to a voodo knob?

I have a MY 04 s2k and i was wondering what is the benefit to a voodo knob? i really like the OEM one because of the leather wrapping, but do the advantages to having one out weigh the looks? thanks

It's countersunk, so the shift throw is shorter. A titanium one looks and feels great in the hand.

My original knob was torn up by the previous owner's rings. I've screwed on a Ti Voodoo and never looked back!

It wouldn't seem like a shift knob would have any really benefits but it really does make a difference. The throw is noticeably shorter, driving around town seems to be much easier. My rev matching has become butter and all around it is money well spent, go for it.

I felt the stock knob too small and tall. Tended to shift using fingertips instead of my hand. Since the VooDoo lowers the height, and is a sphere(like Ferrari's), it's much more comfortable to handle. I don't miss the leather but coul dsee where someone might. To me, the pros far outweigh any cons. Also, you have PM.

I also have an '04 and I got my Voodoo knob 2 weeks ago. The feel in your hand is incredible - a feel of being connected to the car better and snapping the shifter into place with a slight flick of the wrist. I used to have an '02 that I never changed the shift knob on but when Konrad let me drive his highly modded white S2000 with a Voodoo knob, I knew I would eventually get one.
Go ahead. You will never regret it.
