A short while ago the Michelin Pilot Sport was the technical king of the rubber hill. Very pricey, and very good.

Recently the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 came out. I'm assuming it's in the same class. I hear it's a big step over the S-02.

There's also Pirelli's P-Zero Rosso, with the small bit of red lettering on the sidewall. Which.... looks muy cool, if you ask me!

I'm surprised you say that about the SP9000's... I have never heard the tires squeal in my TL from pushing it to it's limits or the Miata(they have them too) while pushing it to it's limits as well.. I'm very happy with them..

Those are designed to be killer rain tires, too, the 9000s.

One doesn't have to be an owner to subscribe to this site. Non-owners have always been welcome as far as I can recall. I think that is the reason for the 'enthusiast' and 'owner' status beneath your name.

(Not everyone will agree but the Miata is really a kindred car of the S2000. It's designed to capture the roadster experience with great handling, great transmission and a low price)
