My yellow s2k is on its way here but I was wondering what car alarms do you have on your s2k and the model numbers. What do you guys reccomend to protect my new baby. Do you use radar sensors or what. On my current car (Integra) I have the cliiford, and its great howver i heard that they went out of biz, and DEI (Viper) now owns them. Are they still available? any recs??

I am also expecting my S2K within a week or so, and have an alarm question: Some advertisements say that the S2K has a "Theft Immobilzer", others state that it has an "Alarm" as standard equipment. Honda acessories sells an alarm for the S2000. My question is what comes standard on the car? Is it an actual alarm (i.e. activates the lights and/or horn if a door is opened), or is it just remote locking/unlocking with something like a chip in the key that prevents someone from hot wiring the car?

It's only the immobilizer that doesn't allow the car to start unless it has a matching key. The alarm is optional.

I bought a dealer installed "Auto Mate" alarm, it has a dual stage shock sensor along with the door/hood/trunk triggers. It's a good alarm but I think a perimeter type alarm is a better choice for convertables.
