You really shouldn't see much difference between 17" AP2 & Michelin PSS in OEM sizes versus 16" AP1. The AP2 setup is a few pounds per wheel heavier, but that small of a difference won't cause the car to kangaroo.
I've found the S to be a lot more sensitive to tire diameter than tire/wheel weight. Not many tires match the diameter/rollout of the OEM tires, and basically no tires match the OEM widths if you're trying to maintain the stock stagger.
