Yep, when I used to live up there I'd see a bronze McClaren F1 every now and then... it was always dirty and just parked wherever in a parking lot. I wanted to jump the guy or at least offer to wash his car...
i was down in tucson the other weekend and it was funny the way everyone looked at the S like it was a Ferrari. heck one girl at a McDonald's drive thru actually came running up to the pay window inside (i gather she worked in the back) just to say, "wow, that's an awesome car....what is it?"

60% of the people I see in Miami with S's are middle aged men on their cell phone with the top up no matter the weather. Damn shame. I wave at any S I see. Have only gotten, think 2 responses and 1 guy was from this board.

First generation Miatas(NAs) used to do a Miata wave to each other. On the dash next to the hazard button was a button that would just raise you pop-ups w/o turning them on. Alas like a lot of automotive niceties this has died out. Partly b/c NB Miatas(99-current) don't have pop-ups and also that Miata fever has died down just a tad since 1990.
