Washed and did a quick detail spray on 2 and then shin-etsu’d the hard top weatherstripping. Incredible weather today.

Winter prep... weather has gotten pretty cold here... I still don't mind driving the S2k in cooler weather but with the COVID still raging I'm just not getting out as much and not sure how much more it will be driven this season.
Still need to do an oil change...

Did a Billman brake fluid gravity bleed using ATE SL 6. Used about 3/4 of a liter can. Wish it was blue. Also did a suck out/refill of the clutch reservoir. Used plain ol brake fluid for that, happens to be Honda.
Was going to change trans fluid and the diff but ran out of time. At the 10 year point for a coolant change.

Installed Modifry top straps and a Moddiction Anvil 2 shift knob this afternoon. My top was still retracting fine, but the OEM straps were almost 17 years old and had lost their elasticity. The Anvil 2 shift knob feels great.....very short and smooth. And....no more gap between the shift boot and knob.

Installed a Saikou Michi dual oil catch can. I'm pretty happy with the setup next to the battery. I also got the remote drain and installed the spigots using one of the holes that used to hold up my air box. Now I can easily drain the cans as I change my oil

Polished the rims and the exhaust tips and applied some touch up paint.

I believe I recall that you are near me (Twin Cities). I am still enjoying mine with all the spurts of warm days. Supposed to be near 80 today, so may take it out and go play some disc golf after work . With Covid, we have played a lot more of that since it is outside, distanced and has never been banned due to Covid .Plus, we love to hike and be outdoors, so a 6 pack of beer and some time discing is a great evening. Hell, even have glo tape for them so we can stay past dark lol. Helps that we have a course just about every 5 miles around here!

Anyways back to the driving. I am also autocrossing mine this weekend. Last two events of our season are Sat/Sun at Canterbury. The car I have been codriving is down right now for some stuff and so we are driving my S2k instead.

I typically will keep it out and ready to go until it stays cold (usually November) and then get it ready and put it away for the winter. Then it comes back out after the first real spring rains wash the salt off the roads. I only tend to take it when I can drive it top down, which helps with dealing with it being a stiff, noisy str car But I will drive top down until in the low 50's using the top down mode on the heat. This weekend should have some good days for driving for sure. Nice scenery with the trees all changing and the weather wont be bad!

All truth!
I usually keep mine out till November also and have no issues with top up driving. I actually find it's quite civil with the top up compared to my first convertible (79' MGB)!
BUT - I have a toddler and so weekend excursions are limited to either my S4 or my wife's CM... which limits the opportunities for the S2k to get out.
I'll have a peek at the Canterbury event Sunday - may be an opportunity to sneak out!

I am pretty sure the event did not fill up so there is still chance to register!

I applied swirl removal to my S and used scratch x in a few spots and then put on a coat of wax.
Glad to see you guys up north are still getting some driving time in. Where I am the driving is the worst right now during what we call leaf peaper season so I've been staying off the road but will venture out this weekend.
