Thanks for these. I'm thinking about ordering a spare set.

Replaced the original AP1 wheels and newish Michelins, with 17" RPF1/ Conti Extreme Contact Sport. Much better.

Put mine away for the winter last night. I got really lucky because I didn't look at the forecast and I had to top it off with fuel for storage. I drove it to the gym intending to work out and then hit the gas station on the way home. Very light flurries started as soon as I got done at the gym so I had to hurry to get gas and get it home. I had everything else done for my storage prep so it will get a battery tender and covered Saturday.

Mine is prepped and ready for storage too but it snowed last night so it will have to sit in my garage until it's all cleared up before I drive over to the storage facility which is about a mile away. My wife is anxious to get her "winter spot" back in the garage... I'll probably get it out there next week.

I'm in the exact same situation - snow is all around us but not yet in the valley where we live. Could be any day now. Like yours, my wife wants her spot in the garage back for the winter asap! This year I will store one in my two car garage at home so my truck has to sit out all winter which is a PIA. I always seem to push it to the last possible moment. It is difficult to let it go for the winter. But, each spring it is like getting a new car.

I don't miss living up north, too cold too long for my blood.
I agree re the OEM hardtop. Its like a new car when it goes on. But, the truth is, I find I don't use it hardly at all. My cars are summer cars. I drive mostly with the top down. As far as living up north - it builds character! Also, playing in the snow is a big part of our lives. I would miss that, and, I would miss the spectacular spring freshet which would not exist without the months of frozen ground.

Paid the annual registration fee, put in a new battery and set the alarm off a few too many times. Being in the Southern Hemisphere we're heading into Summer so the cover will be coming off mine. Can't bloody wait.
