Installed Billman TCT, washed and waxed. Too bad it's gonna rain tom...
Installing the TCT was a lot easier than expected. I didn't remove the entire airbox. Just removing the top cover was enough to give me leverage on the access port for removing the pin. I did have to get a pretty long bent nose pliers to make that work though. I was also a bit worried about torquing the nuts to 8.7 pounds. My torque wrench only goes as low as 10. Figured 1.3 pounds is not too much... Anyways... car is washed and waxed. Ready for the rain tom
Freshly waxed

Previous two days spent washing, clay bar, and sealing the paint. Today and yesterday I spent hours working on the wheels. Iron-x and a credit card to remove years of caked on brake dust and contaminants from barrels and faces. Had about 4 old wheel weight remnants/foam backing on every wheel. Finally clay barred and sealed them. Before stripping and clay After clay before sealing
I covered it in a fine payer of road grime. A sunny day, an S2000, a long lunch break and a winding road is about the best antidote to a crappy work day.
I filled up at a station about 10 miles away (well, it's 6 miles away but there's more than one road there) and it looked tiny compared to everything else on the forecourt, it's amazing how small the car really is. Every (every) female who walked past looked at it, as did most of the older guys. And I wasn't even sitting in it, so it's not just my hideous face they were staring at. Kind of strange/nice after years of driving invisible cars.
Changed my summer wheels to my all season wheels yesterday actually, just in time since we are getting thumped by the snow today. Not that I’ll be driving but I couldn’t have gotten it done with the way it’s coming down.
5 Weeks ago, I purchased 05' with 83K miles. I have replaced a TCT from Billmans, all fluids changed, Advan wheels and new tires, replaced plastic ball seat of shifter, HKS GT coils, but the BESTEST thing that I did today was replace these broken bits
and now the S feels awesome!
Next are valve adjustments, coils and plug replacements. BTW its been over 30 years since I actually worked on my own car, I used to work on my Datsun Roadster 2000 when I was a teenager. The S2000 reminds me so much of my old Fairlady.
Replaced my passenger side fender well and front strake. Discovered the strake was missing and went to replace it. Then I discovered that since what it attaches to was broken I had to replace the entire fender well. Thankfully it was an easy quick fix. Bad thing is, now I want to do the driver side too. #newpartsarenice
