Default What a difference an alignment makes!

I'm doing a trackday at LeMans this weekend, so I popped over to my mechanic near the Nurburgring for them to do a 4 wheel alignment on the car. After reading the actual numbers, he was wondering how the car was actually still driving!

Toe was excessively positive front and rear, and camber was hardly negative at most corners, with the RF wheel being slightly positive! He manged to tweak the car back close to the UK specs I gave him (-1' front negative camber, -2' rear)

Driving around some country hilly roads was a lot more fun than before. Turn-in is quicker, and the amount of confidence the car exhibits increased. I had to drive around for an hour before the 'Ring opened up and once it did, I did 3 quick laps. Wow, less understeer! Grip is improved, and the car has seriously gotten a lot more agile!

So if you folks haven't had your alignments checked in awhile, or have hit something recently, it's definitely worth a check!

One setting that couldn't get set properly was the caster angle. The best he could do was about 1' less than the 6'45 as recommended. Should I be concerned?
