Check the secret compartment for illicit items forgotten by previous owner.

Get stock radio code.

When I got the car:
  • Changed the battery
  • Changed to K&N intake filter
  • Changed cabin air filter ($8 bucks or something on Amazon)
  • Modifry soft top fix
  • Changed transmission fluid, diff, engine oil
  • Got ss brake lines + performance brake fluid
  • Compression test
  • Valve adjustment
  • Got SS clutch line
  • Installed SOS hood dampers
  • Installed OEM Front and Rear Spoilers
  • Changed the original A/S tires to Pilot Super Sports
  • Clayed + polished the car
  • Detailed the interior
  • Installed a new head unit (made a HUGE difference even with stock speakers)
  • Installed steering wheel controls
  • Got a Panavise bracket for my phone

It's a lot of stuff - I also got a Conceiling I haven't installed yet, but all these maintenance items (and a couple for fun) should keep me going for a while =)

isn't there an oil light that tells you when oil is at min ?

Yep, but if it comes on, your motor is probably toast.

Yea, I don't think it's a "min level" light.

I think it's a "Low Oil Pressure" light which definitely means it's too late. Engine damage.

On that note, also make sure your oil filter is torqued correctly (don't just hand-tighten it!) Buy an oil filter wrench adapter that's 80mm 15 flute and torque it according to the directions on the filter.

Got mine for $8 at a local [Acura] dealer and it's a good peace of mind that the filter won't wiggle itself loose and blow your engine up.

Heh, everyone likes different things. To each their own. I always liked my titanium type-r shift knob on my gs-r. So getting the CR shift knob was natural. I still have my stock 04 shift knob, the reason why I never liked it is because my hand would always slip.

what's the point of the light then? I doubt it works that way. my previous 3 cars all had oil light and all it meant is u need to add one qt of oil.. I have NEVER in like 15 years of driving checked oil with dip stick on all my 7-8 cars....

but just to make sure I will check the manual now......

edit: yeah the manual says that light should never come on.....its oil pressure light. so I guess if you have ap1 especially, you do need to check oil. I doubt with ap2s burning oil is a common problem.
