It marks the ends of the chapter for me. It will probably be my last gasoline sports car.

It may be many of our last gasoline sports cars. In 7 years when I'm done with school if gasoline is on the way out, I'm buying a damn jet.

I've had the Stewie for one month now. I'd had my '97 328i for 10 years, and at 200k, she was due a break from full daily driver status. I knew I didn't want another sedan, and I wanted a convertible. For a year I contemplated the 350Z...after the last big maintenance bill on the Bimmer, I just prayed: "Father, you know that my season with this car is coming to a close, and I need something reliable, that will not be a financial burden. You have never let my needs to unmet." Now, I realized this meant, I'd get what I'd get! Could've been a used Kia Rondo, and it would have been my answer - and I'd have been grateful. But I've learned that sometimes, just out of sheer love and grace, He gives us the desires of our hearts. I don't deserve the car at all. All of the S2000's belong to Him, and He put one on hold for me! :-) The coolest thing is, I knew which one was mine. It was at CarMax (which I'd previously shyed away from), it was the right price, the right miles, the right color, the right (RED!!!) interior. There is no detail about my car I would change if I could order brand new from the factory. I had it shipped to Nashville (for free) without having seen any photos. And when I saw it, I knew it was mine. 1 hour later, I'm driving her home.

That's the long way of saying my S represents for me the fact that my Father is good in all of His ways, and He is the giver of good gifts - even really cool, stylish ones. :-) He doesn't bless because we deserve, but because He loves. So, everytime I look at the Stewie, it's like there's a big bow on the top - and a card that reads "From Daddy".

:-D

To all of you guys and girls who haven't found the right one yet, keep looking. I hope you, too will receive your heart's desire.

dang i realized i posted in here when i was still dearly saving up for one. now that i have one, i still have the same feelings towards the car from the day i brought it home. it's so unique and there's nothing else in the market that can compare to the S. it has everything i want (and don't want), and is definitely my "complete" car.

My S represents an affordable exotic. I have a colleague who's been blessed with incredible success. He loves cars and buys them all, f430, 599, LP640, carrera GT, etc etc etc... I've driven them all, many times. Even after a session in any one of those car i get back in my S and wonder how the F#$K Honda created something so special.

It is the realization of the dream I had as a little kid of not only owning a sports car, but a sports car that can handle the way I always imagined they should.

It has fulfilled that dream and then some.

My S2000 represents a reward for all those years of hard work, I purchased that car for everything it is, and everything it isn't. I don't want a big soft "sports car" I want something that screams when you give it the beans, handles like its on rails, and most of all puts a huge grin on my face every single day.
