I think the way the centrifigual blower makes power also adds to the illusion when people go for a fast ride in the car. I like to take the car to 6k in first or second, hold it there for a few moments, and then sharply nail the throttle. Makes the car feel MUCH quicker and faster than it actually is. Hahaha, people who ride in the car probably only add to the BS, 'cause they are always shocked and feel that the car is even faster than they imagined.
I just don't think most people have a clue what quick cars are actually like when they're driven hard.
Back when Enzo was still alive, sub 14 second Ferrari's were rare, so it's true that our cars are quicker than *most* Ferrari's (but only because there are more older and slower one's than newer and faster ones).

you guys do know that s2000 dominated A stock on 2007 SCCA national Championship?
3 s2000's in the top 4, number 1, 3, 4, being s2000.
I think s2000 is aa auto-x car.
stock for stock, s2k is the real deal. modded... well, you could make a shopping cart turn and drive like a F-1 car is you throw enough money at it.

13.633 @ 101.9MPH
Bone Stock other then a 60MM Invidia Exhaust. I ran the 13.633 once and the rest were 13.7s. I was totally surprised with the time because everyone ALWAYS told me that the S2000's were super bad at the 1/4 mile. When I hit the 13.6, everyone was just shocked and a few still do not believe it. The S2000 is really underrated =D.
