What factors would render your s2000 as a good DD?
i DD my S, i dont have any problems... well maybe the sound of the tire and wind noise but thats about it.... it gets good MPG, great power, drop top, very nice lines on the car also it has a silky gearbox! what more can you ask for! lol
Honestly...the S is the reason Im on time to work all the time now. I used to drive my Nissan to work everyday and having to slow down for slow turns because of the drag radials got old. Now I dont even hit the brakes in those types of turns anymore. The S2000 will also keep you out of trouble if its all motor because of how slow they are. Gotta love it!

When you guys change lanes, do you strictly use the mirrors or do you look over your shoulder?
Always look over your shoulder unless you feel your insurance is too cheap.
when I say "Daily Driver" I mean something that is PRACTICAL. The S2000 is not practical. Personally I've had a 2 seat car as a daily driver before and it causes issues, not being able to carry more than 1 passenger, not to mention cargo space for the groceries, tools, keg, etc.
Its VERY practical but then again, I have been driving 2 seat convertibles since high school and I graduated in 1975, never had anything else but 2 seats, never needed any more than 2 seats. When my wife got pregnant, she sold her 2 seat convertible for a mommy wagon, kid got older and she went back to 2 seat convertible.
Its absolutely practical and perfect for daily driving. More than enough cargo space for groceries and yeah even a keg.
After my last car I actually find the S luxurious, first car I have owned with AC and the seats are superbly comfortable for long distance driving or stop/go rush hour traffic.
To each his own but blanket statements like its not practical are worthless since it is very practical to me. The only passenger I want to carry is the one going to bed with me tonight...all others can drive their own car.

^^ it may be practical in Southern California...but try owning one in upstate NY or somewhere that gets equal snowfall and crappy winter weather...it then becomes NOT practical and you need 2 vehicles in your stable.
