I have not had this much fun going back and forth to work since I last rode a motorcycle as a daily driver. This is even more fun on many days since I don't have to change clothes, get soaked to the bone or stop to heat my hands near the pipes.

Oh and I can actually carry a briefcase rather than a back pack.

ya, I agree with some of the above

Sadly I dont 100% enjoy my job, so having a drive home with the s2k to look forward to makes my day that much better. I really don't care about noise (upgraded stereo helps this) or the blind spot. Each shift = happy me.

I actually have a mazda3 that I intended to dd, but its so hard for me to convince myself to drive it more than 2 days a week. It's kind of sad. I'd get rid of it if I didn't think I would need it for road trips, back up car, and moving.

The S2000 was made to be my daily driver. It cuts my daily commute time in half compared other bigger, heavier cars. I hate carrying a bunch of people around so a two-seater suits me best. Another pro about it is that people tend move over immediately when I'm on the highway. Though, the best feature by far is that it's a convertible. No blind spots there.

What kind of 'risks' are you talking about ??

The s2k has great safety ratings.

4-5 stars on all crash tests.

not safety wise but risks as far as vandalism/hate crimes/theft
ie:
people keying your car
people slashing soft top
people jacking your car
idiots intentionally putting dings in your car
and the list goes on

ps. i DD my car >90 miles a day. i have a long commute everyday going to school. and on the weekends i use my beater car to go to work. i'm a college student so i dont have the luxury of having two decently good cars... my beater is an old salvaged corolla... that stalls because of the carbeurator every so often... lol

I use my S as a DD and to be honest I do a lot of motorway/highway miles for work and park in lots of different places etc and would prefer to have a car I care less about for all these things plus driving the S on the motorway is boring - long straight road, normally just high speed cruising and there are plenty of cars that are much better at that than the S - and I want to keep the S's mileage down to limit the stone chips, cracks etc from the motorway - I need a new DD to keep the S special for weekends and occasional use.
