What gas is best?
76 sucks.. done two test in my accord and s2k.. 76 burned alot faster compare to chevron .. the only 2 gas i used to compare..
you guys gonna get me sucked into shell.
lol i love chevron with techron)
again i recommend staying with the same gas over and over to improve / keep the same gas mileage
did chevron from the start with the S and got around 300 per 11 gallons..
did 76 twice.. on the second tank i started to keep record and only got 268 on 11 gallons.. so i guess 76 burns quicker.. both in my S and accord..

So here the link for
shell:

Chevron:

I can't really decide. But they seem very similiar.
So switch between the two on and off and get the both world.
I probably pump chevron more because Chevron is cheaper than Shell.
Where I live sometime Chevron is the Cheapest out of mobil exon and close to Costco price range too. And Shell is Really High.

Ok.. So I have the average for 2 of my house car.
The Camry 03 V6 usually average at least 20mpg.
After with Shell it becomes 18mpg.
My 07 S2000 usually get 23mpg for Chevron when first bought the car.
After a while with Costco is around 22-23mpg
Now Shell is 22-23mpg.
So shell is definitely smoother engine and the read for the gas are more accurate the way I notice.
with Costco Gas about half the tank i get 100mi, but with Shell I get 120mi on half of the gas light indicator. So i assume the Shell gives a better accurate reading on the gas.
So I guess between Chevron and Shell and whatever your other favorite is , just pump the cheapest one.

Only Arco for my cars, and only Arco premium (91 octane here in SoCal) for our S2000. I have used the same high-volume station for 10+ years, and have never had any fuel related problems in any of my vehicles, up to and beyond 300,000 miles.
Unless people are keeping actual records of their mileage and number of gallons for a fillup (which I do keep), in my opinion it is silly to say they get better mileage for "half a tank" of gas. We all know the S2000 fuel gauge is not the most accurate device in the world. If you want to do us any favors, do the record keeping at each fillup, do the math, drive the same road under the same conditions, then report back with real, honest-to-goodness scientific mpg results. Otherwise, conjecture about whatever is best is simply conjecture.
