I just don't see paying $10k even though it is an 06 with supposedly low miles. I paid $15k for my complete, clear title 06 (granted, with 59k miles--but I know it to be accurate). I know prices have gone up since I bought mine and I got a good deal to begin with, but it seems like way too much hassle when in the end you're going to have a lot of hours + dollars put into it and still have a salvage title car with unknown miles that you'll never be able to sell for more than 50-60% of normal value.

If I were looking for a cheap(er) track S2000 and I was already willing to spend $10k + $3-6k more on parts, I'd just go find a low-mileage, complete AP1 for the same overall cost (not to mention no labor for installing new stuff).

If its a track car, why fix the top, radio or door?

If this is going to be a track car then it looks ready to go (once you get a steering wheel on it). If I got this car I would strip the interior, completely remove the soft top. I would have a roll cage built in.

So many of us have nice looking cars that are near pristine shape (to some degree). It's hard for a lot of us to pull the trigger on such drastic modifications because its impossible to go back to pristine. You have the advantage of never going back. You can make super aggressive track mods and you will just improve what you have.

Best of luck though. I can't wait to see pictures!

Wheel: $200-$350
Cluster: I have no idea. I've never seen those get stolen so Idk what they go for
Heater control: no idea but I'm guessing like $50 or so
Oem radio: $50-$100

That's what I've seen those parts go for. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm off on anything.
I love the stock seats, although I'm sure there are many out there that "fit" a lot more snug

Cluster will go around $200-$300, many are sold on ebay for those with civics, pre-2000, who want to do a cluster swap.

Thanks for the info guys, gives me a very good idea of costs to fix. At this point the car cannot be started so there's no way for me to know if the motor/transmission even works. Also I was able to get the VIN and its been in 2 accidents on top of this latest theft/vandalism . Owner claims not to know (quite possible) so god knows what damage was done and if it was repaired properly or a hack job. I'll pass and wait for another deal. At least now I've been schooled on cost of parts.

You should low ball the piss out of him. If its screwy then he might he might be willing to get rid of it. If it doesn't start then its going to be really hard to sell. If you got it for 5 or 6k would you be willing to put the time and money into getting it fixed?

Its a choice you have to make. Best of luck though,
