yea, i think the picture i saw was just maybe a defect in that s2k. but i think i remember the person saying they were ok and i think i heard mention of a possible lawsuit.. :

I conducted a little statistical study a couple months back on S crashes. There were a number of them that rolled and wound up upside down. There was one fatalty (who was ejected w/ no seat belt) - but everyone who was wearing a seat belt escaped with exceptionally minor injuries.

If you do a search for S2000 crash data, you'll see the results.

Usually, it is immediately preceded by a very stupid input from the driver. Actually, it is usually a string of stupid decisions.

But once it goes over, like others have said, your chances of walking away are extremely good if you have your seat belt on.

The picture (or was it a video?) I saw of a collapsed windshield frame was from a car that rolled on a track, so it was travelling at a very high rate of speed. A roll at normal highway speeds is unlikely to cause the windshield frame to collapse.

im suprised the top held up to the roll over... the frame doesnt look all the sturdy but i guess it is!!

There's one S2000 in Jacksonville that rolled in wet grass. It's been repaired, and you wouldn't be able to tell if you saw it and casually walked around the car.

The owner is registered on this forum.
