The other day I was driving down alicia parkway here in southern cali when a gentleman of the hispanic kind yelled over... Hey!! is dat 2000 or 2001? I replied kindly. 2001. He then proceeded to ask me if it was the 6 cylinder or the 8 cylinder? Shocked by the question I asked him if he could repeat the question. I then responded with a, No actually it is a 4 cylinder. Persistant as he is he then says confidentally that... That's the Super sport right?! The SS right?! I said no it's just one S. It's a Honda S2000. hehe He then yells back, sweet ride man. I yelled back thanks! Nice guy. I always enjoy compliments for my car but how can you confuse a camaro with an S2000? I figured that some of you guys out there have had similar experiences and I was curious to see what car was most commonly mistaken with the S2000.

People generally have no clue what kind of a car it is.When I tell them it's an S2000 they look at me with a confused puzzled look on their face.

It has been mistaken for:
Miata, Kompressor, BMW

They always say nice car.

my celica gets mistaken all the time for an eclipse! omg it's flipping annoying! the other day someone pointed to my car and was like "hey isn't that the same car out of the dirty vegas video" i informed him of the car and he said oh my bad cool car and walked away.

on the s2k comment my firends Z3 actually got mistaken for an s2k. We were going to pick up his mom's saab form the dealership because it just had work done. So i'm driving his Z3 I pull up to the lot and go inside and goes so what you going to trade that S2000 in for a saab 9-3. We both laughed cause I thought he was joking about it being a S, and he goes man if I had an S like you I wouldn't even come by this dealership. I chuckled again. oh man some people have no idea.

I have been asked how I liked my BMW and I heard a teenager tell his friend "That's the new Porsche." It doesn't help that I have Rick's badges covering all the "H"'s. My wife was following me home from the coast and she was a few cars back. She said it was neat to watch people try to catch up to me to see what it was I was driving. I love driving a rare car!!!!
