What headers are better for the S2k
Top headers seem to be Toda, Spoon and Mugen. But don't expect much in power. It seems as though weight savings and looks are the best benefit. However, I've heard that the Toda promises 10 hp if you go with a supercharger.
As for an exhaust, there are quite a few to go with depending on if you want stainless steel or titanium, single or dual. I, personally, plan on going with the Amuse R1 Titan Extra single outlet exhaust. Expensive? Yes. But it is light, quiet, adds a few horsepower and looks and sounds fantastic. As for others, there are numerous members with:
Mugen
Comptech
Fujitsubo
T1R
JIC
J's
Invidia
Spoon
Spugen
Apexi
Veilside
and others....

I know JL9000..., sorry if I came across wrong.
Anyhow, it all comes down to what mods you are running in conjunction to the header. I've read threads where the Mugen was the best choice for a long time, then the Toda proved better with stronger top end if you have a good CAI, exhaust, straight pipe and a VAFC to keep the AF ratios in check.
The Toda has a bracket that will break (I've heard that this is common, but not too big a deal if I recall), will make more noise do to the thin-wall construction (that benefits weight reduction), and may generate more underhood temps since it has no heatshield like the Mugen.
The Mugen (which I'm more familiar with) has a fat midrange, and it feels like you're gaining like 10-15HP in some areas (this is just a blind statement) and really makes the car feel more powerful during hard acceleration.

Since when is the Spoon header a top header? A few people have reported loss of power with that header.
The J's Racing header is the most consistant in providing solid gains. The best 4 are:
J's Racing Header
Mugen Header
Hytech Header (Custom header and huge wait time)
Toda Header
There are only a few 4-1 header designs for the S2000, oddly. The ASM, Feels, and Comptech are all 4-1. The ASM and Feels header are big bucks though. IMO A header that costs $1000+ and only gets you 6hp isn't worth it.
