Sound like you work very hard and long for your s2k. I went through the same thing also, seriously. It your money so I don't want to say what you should or shouldn't do with it, sometime in life it's best to learn something the hard way. Like when your dad told you to never touch live electrical wire.
yeah your right, but im trying to avoid wasting my money on crap i dont need like say a ground wire kit. that is one of the reasons why i joined this forums.

LOL, hate to break it to you bro but you chose the wrong car. First of, you can forget about keeping up or staying close to a stock Z06. Second, not that it's impossible but practically almost to keep up with an EVO while staying n/a form (ON THE STREET, WHICH IS MOSTLY STRAIGHT LINE) and stay reliable. Working on car is fun, but not when it a constant worry and problematic.

Think about it, you gonna spend a small fortune and I do mean small fortune to get n/a S2k to keep up with a lightly mod EVO (intake, header, exhaust) on the street. You setting yourself up for disappointment when your target rival is a BOOSTED car and respond very well to minor mods while you staying n/a. How are you going to compete against someone who take steroid while you are staying all natural in a no restriction body building contest?

Just do it then if that what you want I'm sure you'll be happy. Then you come back here, reverse role as of right now, telling some young gunner that it a bad idea all over again. DO IT!

ans2k, "cheap" na mods would be removing your soft top and getting a hard top (wait, hardtops aren't that cheap), an exhaust, or since you got an 06, a hondata reflash. A header would probably be last on my list. But until you go FI, you'll still probably get rocked in a straight line.

NOPE! I never had money in high school or the first 3 years of college. By the time I made the money I got a little more wiser. I had a cousin who blew a small fortune on keeping his S2k n/a, lol so thanks to him I learned. Had I made good money early on I would have piss it off too.
