Default What is this hole?

I just took delivery of my new to me 02 sebring today. What is the hole in the picture above? Am I missing a plastic piece or something? If so can I get a replacement for it anywhere?

Looks like a hole someone drilled for dentless repair... such a bad spot to drill.

Don't know what it's for, but it's 100% sure it didn't come from Honda that way.

That is definitely not a factory hole there. I am guessing, and it probably is a hole that a paintless dent guy drilled into there so he could get behind the panel and pop out a ding or small dent.
You may want to see if you can find a rubber cap to fit in there and if not, be sure to try and remove the rust best you can and coat the inside of the hole with touch up paint. If all else fails, you can always get the round velcro circles that have adhesive on them and put the cloth material side over the hole to have something to cover it to keep water out.

Was the car "rust-proofed"? Do you see signs of a waxy substance? That may also be a hole that was drilled so the application wand could go in. Is there one on the other side?

Man, if some guy wanted to drill a hole in my car to remove a dent I would send him running. That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard of if true.

Just think of it as a mod to reduce the weight of the car.
