What a doofus. Drilling holes is not uncommon for odd spots for PDR. But you usually only need pinhole sized ones...not one big enough for your thumb to fit through.

I'm not quite sure what you are saying here. What do you mean "has caused the Honda body rust thru warranty to be voided"? What is the warranty manual?
THe cars has a 5 year body rust thru warranty, maeaning the car should nto rust from the inside out, with that hole there water can now get in thru it.

If you get clean the rust off and seal it with something you can atleast keep it from rusting any further but according to the warranty book you will no longer have that protect on the body rust thru.

You can view the book if you register your car on the owners link at Honda's site.

I have seen S2000GT's dent guy drill similar holes in door jambs when the dent could not be reached any other way. Although, he does treat the bare metal and provides a cap with the service.
Where S2000GT had indicated his dent guy took the time to reach that location via the trunk, I was just illustrating that Buckeye's dealer PDR guy was likely rushed and opted for the fastest access.

I about fainted when S2000GT's PDR guy told me he might have to drill my door jam, but he found a way around the access limitation and did the amazing job we're used to from him.

Can't wait for him to pay another visit - I have cash in hand and eagerly await his magic show!

doors are done through the window cavity
rear quarters are done throught the inside of the trunk

- he uses a combo of the "sucker" tool and the PDR rods to get dents out WITHOUT having to drill holes (99%) of the time
