The sales guy did say they had a dent removal guy remove a few small dents. I guess thats what the hole is. I didn't notice it until I got the car home unfortunately. I'll clean it up and paint it with the touchup paint. I'll have to find something to cover it. I'm all ears if anyone has any good ideas.
In retrospect, I'd just as soon have the dents than to have some doofus drill a finger sized hole in my car.
It looks like it's started to rust already. That area is exposed to rain drainage. You should sand off the rusty bits really well, prime it and paint it. Once dry, you should use a good adhesive and stick a plastic plug in there to seal it against further water contact. Those color matched keyhole plugs come to mind.
You can also have a body shop go to work on it and fill it properly, but you may not be able to justify the cost.

that for sure is dentless repair hole, but they usually plug it up with a plastic black plug so it looks factory. find one of those plugs bro!

Saving time, sad but most likely true.

As everyone said previously it is imperative to clean up that rust, repaint the bare metal then use bondo, fiberglass or epoxy followed up with some touchup paint to fill up that hole. A plug might work but it may not be waterproof.

GL!

Yeah, put some sort of bondo in there and then paint it up with your touch up paint, wont be perfect but will look 100% better. Just let the paint dry for a couple days and then take an orbital buffer to it and it should look pretty good. Good luck!

That's a pretty big hole for PDR but could be.

Eitherway, prime and paint the edges and plug it up and you'll be good to go.

Your dent guy, as we know from experience, simply rocks. His guy was slap'en em out for a dealer with no oversight.

After treating the fresh rust and getting some paint on the exposed metal, if you can't find an appropriate plastic plug, try your local sign shop. a circle of sign vinyl will cover that hole nicely, won't cost anything, and if you get a close color match, will be less obvious. Did I mention free?
