REV2RED,

I was thiking of doing the same thing. I would pull out the bulb and just take it and your car to your local import shop.

I'll give it a try this weekend also.

Let us know what you find out!

Thats a cool idea. It will perform better and match the headlights. On my prelude i've done it for the headlights (low, not hi beams) but I was cheap and bought some cheasy brand for 60-70 bucks. For the s2000 i'd definitely get PIAA. they are expensive, like 120 bucks, but PIAA is definitely better quality, for one it will last way longer and the beam will be purer white and shoot out straighter with a better beam pattern. our cars don't deserve the cheapy no name stuff.

What would you guys say to an HID conversion on the high beams? I know of a place that uses Phillips ballasts and have direct HID bulb replacements for most popular sizes... for $569.00. No "quick flashing" of the brights but when they are on, they would obviously be "bright" and would match...

I switched to Piaa Super Plasma high beams and they are great but expensive. Match the HIDs very closely. I also installed Piaa 1900x fog lights and am happy with those.

Don't, don't, dont believe the hype!

I bought Xenons, then PIAA's, and now HIDVision. The PIAA's cost me $100 and were a little whiter and brighter than stock. The HIDV's cost $25 and are even better.

Here's an overlay of the HIDV;s over the PIAA's using a difference filter.

If both were the same the whole picture would be black, the colour is the difference between the two patterns.

If you still believe the PIAA's are better, I've got a set going cheap . Contact 4igs2000 for HIDVision.
