Default what kind of intake?

what kind of intake that is good and you wont have to cut your oem hood? i was planning to buy a j's racing intake but found out you have to cut the oem hood. so now i'm looking into another intake. help a noobie s2k owner outtt =)

get a snorkel and K&N replacement filter for your OEM airbox, or get a below the beltline CAI.

Yeah, go with the K&n fipk (#63-3514) Seems well thought out. Not some shiny thing you can't see while driving that sucks hot air.

Go with a Spoon or similar type snorkle, some type of cooling plate and a new K&N filter. Gut the air box and then take the time to put 2 layers of insulating foil on the inside of the box, top and bottom. You will loose some of the intake sound, but you will elimiate most of the heat soak problem.
