hi guys...i'm contemplating getting a s2k...i have driven an 04, and an 01...i like the 04 better, but if i can get me an 01 at a decent price, i'll go that route...

just wondering what i need to look out for on the 01 models...any particular trouble spots??? any help appreciated...thanks!!!

 

just check the transmission for smooth shifts.

the "clutch buzz" on decelleraction affects most models, but it is really cosmetic.

i would have a mechanic take the valve cover off and inspect the valve retainers.

 

spark plug recall!!

 

i just got an 01 about a month ago also..whats this spark plug recall..i heard about it but no nothing about it...

 

spark plug defect...go to a honda dealer to see if the previous owner has done it or not.

 

MOST IMPORTANT!!!!

If if were you i would look for a 2002....

 

$.02 , get a 2002 1/2, all the important stuff in place, including (I know I am going to regret bringing this up) the upgraded banjo bolts. Good luck.
