That thing is definitely the mirror bracket cover. The picture is just a lot bigger than the actual part.

Wow. I found mine under the passenger seat over a year ago when I first brought the car home. I guess I now know where it's supposed to go. Thanks!

Definitely rear view mirror bracket...mine falls off when temps exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit. The adhesive softens obviously. I attach it when I get home, temps cool overnight, it stays until the next hot day...

I should probably fix it correctly.

Since there is no perspective to size, this may also be the bolt cover for the passenger side seat rail. Also it was found on the pass. side and this would have been my first thought. This piece has the same shape as the mirror part but is larger. Thought I'd post this just in case.
do you mean frame of reference? because i can tell you that picture sure has bird's eye perspective

it's the rear view mirror clips, mine fell off while i am driving

it's suppose to just click on, not get glued on. Was your windshield replaced ever? Some aftermarket windshields have slightly different mirror mounts that make it harder for the thing to clip on. I've gone through 5 windshields so far and had to modify that piece slightly for it to sit correctly and clip in properly.

^^^ Hey thanks, did not know it should clip on. Mine has a silicone type black adhesive around the mirror contact point to the windshield. My mirror's bracket just sits softly in this adhesive (won't snap on). I'm the second owner, so its either a new windshield or repaired improperly. I'll have to take a look when it warms up outside.
