Boy, you're not giving up are you? Well, that's why a poll is out. Word of mouth is fine, but I want to see real dyno charts And BTW, the AC line does need to be adjusted a little, which I have already mentioned.

Even if it did produce an honest 10 hp, I wouldn't pay more than $300-$400 for it. Why? I can't fabricate a header or cams on my own, but I sure as hell can bend up $20 of 0.020" sheet metal into square box shapes and have a welder seam weld it for $20 more. Add in some hose clamps and rubber tubes for another $20, a $30 panel filter and voila. Company has to make some money, but sheesh!
BTW, the box at the 90 degree bend is probably to minimize flow losses. If you significantly increase tubing diameter in a bend you can keep flow within 99% of a straight pipe, even though you're turning the air. Ideally you'd want more of a spherical chamber, but manufacturing and space concerns probably makeit difficult.

most of the price doesn't come from materials, but manufacturing costs. it costs more to make and run a setup to mass produce those things than for you or me to do it in our garages with a kmart blowtorch and hammer.
