Default What are some of the cheapest mods?

Just wondering what are some of the cheapest mods that actually help the s2k out a little bit in the 1/4. I dont want to hear lose weight( I weight 133lbs), and I dont want to hear take weight off the car. I want engine mods. Maybe like a list from the cheapest mod maybe being an intake? To the most expensive like a turbo? Thanks, just trying to look at my budget and see whats the smartest way to do things =D

i got an ebay intake (30 bucks) with a k&n filter (45 bucks) and a berk tech. test pipe (100 bucks)...

i just dyno'd my car two weeks ago and had a VERY nice linear gain of 200whp and 133lbs of tq...

the gain drops off at about 8300rpms and runs pretty rich to about 11:1...hopefully i can get a vafc soon and retune/dyno again...hopeing to atleast be close to 210 *crosses fingers*

Without a before and after dyno, how do you know the intake did anything?

it goes where the cat converter is at, but instead of cleaning the exhaust fumes, it is a straight pipe with no restrictions. The berk pipe has a built in thing that doesnt throw a CEL (check engine light) b/c it doesnt sense as many fumes. hope that helped a little

intake = 30 bux to about 1000 bux
test pipe (see above) around $100
header = $300 to $1500
exhaust (the s2k exhaust is not very restrictive so this is mostly a weight reduction/cosmetic (sound) mod = 300 used to 1500
gears = 600

those are just some basic mods so u get an idea

Reports are beginning to trickle in that due to the angle of the little tube that the O2 sensor screws into, some users have witnessed a CEL. Personally, I prefer the right angle of a twin stack of non-foulers.

The "berk" pipe is a very innovative invention (business wise) but lacked sufficient R&D.
Here is the "non-fouler" method on a typical test pipe:
