It's like an S2000, but more of all the good bits. More feel, more response, more acceleration, more sound, more race car feel, more focused purpose, more rejection of what's not needed in a sports car.

Depending on why you like your S2000, you'll like the Elise more. You'll just have to pay for it more, and fix it more.
More acceleration? I test drove an Elise a couple weeks ago and it felt slow compared to my S2000. However, my S has about 200 pounds of weight reduction, cams, intake, exhaust, etc so maybe that was why. Anyways, I'm a mix between Hardcore lightweight handling and Baller Pimp Track. My next car will either be a Lotus Exige or a Porsche GT3.

I'm more of a Hardcore Lightweight Handling and a JDM Tuner combined. I love the noises & handling of our car and making it better, but at the same time using "JDM" parts (ie Mugen, Spoon, etc).

On a side note, aside from my next vehicle purchase being a Ridgeline (what can I say ... I love Honda quality), my next CAR purchase will be an NSX ... so I fall into a variety of "types" I guess. Haha.

Loyal Honda evolution.

Since 1990 have had 3 civics, 2 Ludes, 2 S2k's, 1 Ridge, 1 Element...and will be buying a 2008 Accord sedan soon for the wife. So sports car evolution looks like:

Civic>>Prelude>>S2K-AP1>>S2K-AP2>>future NSX replacement (whatever that may be)

My last 5 cars...what would I be? I am not sure of my classification.

01 Honda Prelude (sold)
02 Camaro SS (sold)
04 TL 6-speed (traded in for S)
06 S2000 (have still...best car I have ever owned by far)
08 Civic Si (new daily driver)

in 2-3 years I envision a Nissan GT-R, Z06, or possible future Honda/Acura Sports car (if its better than the S2000) in my driveway.

I'd probably go with the JDM Tuner, but you're right that it should include "JDM Enthusiast."

Anyone who trades a TL in for an S2000 / Civic Si combo is in my book.

Depending on what you get next, you'll advance to BALLER PIMP territory!

When I was a passenger in an Elise, it felt like about the same acceleration as an S2000, maybe even a tad slower. When I drove that same car, it felt about the same or a tad quicker. When I lined up against that Elise with my stock S2000, the Elise walked away from the S.

So yeah, definitely more acceleration, but not necessarily enough for the feel of more acceleration. I need a drive in one of the supercharged ones.
