When she gets too old and begins having pains, I will give her a new heart transplant (new motor). This car is going to stay with me until they remove me from my house feet first!

people think im crazy for racking as many km's as i do.. they think the s should not be a daily driver... but i want to drive it as much as i can... and when it stops running as good as normal... i want to swap a motor in it too!!!
i love this car!
I will try to hang on to the s2k. No, it's not a "supercar" like a Ferrari, and yes, it is a Honda. But a car needn't be in the same class as Ferrari to develop collectors' value over time. I bought a new GTO in 1964, and sold it in 1970 for $600, in good shape with low miles. Saw one go through Barrettt-Jackson auction the other day, and I just can't mention the price. It makes me cry! And while the s2k is a Honda, it is lfairly limited production, and shares no parts, bits, or concepts with any other Honda product. So, again, it qualifies for collector status, someday. And remember, the GTO was a (UGH) Pontiac.
Thanks,
Richard

Here's a tidbit to remember before selling your s2k. One that I can remember because I'm old. People sold their MG TDs in droves after about five years of ownership, for near give-away prices. In five more years, the prices were up almost the the original price. Ten years after that, prices for nice TDs were three times original price. God knows what they are today!
And MG was built by British Motor Corporation (BMC) which built many highly unremarkable cars like the Morris Minor 1000 and various obsolete Austins at the time the TDs were produced. And the TDs DID share engines, parts, and bits with these unremarkable cars.
Keep your s2k till it's 10 years old. It has more of the earmarkings of a "collectable" than the TD did when produced.
Thanks,
Richard
