Keep it and turn it into a dedicated track whore. By the time it gets old enough the value would be so low that it wouldn't be worth parting with.

Good question...I'm at the point now where its "keep-it...or...trade-it" (about 40K).

I have a S2001 Spa Yellow...and know from what I read...that it's a TINY bit more coveted than the more "refined" ones in year's 2003/4+ by some purists. I think that as its soon going to be paid off, that I'll just keep it.

Its sort of like computers (without the challenges on the net) in that I'll ALWAYS be able to do with it what I bought it for....and its looks are not going to fade to fad...anytime soon.

To me, the temptation to sell it after its paid is noteworthy....but what the ****...where am I going to get a car that I'm so in sync with...that can do all I want....for what I'll soon want/get to pay....ZERO !

It's hard to imagine my car being too old, since it still smells new, and has under 25K miles.

I wouldn't mind finding an Exige or Cayman S to keep it company though

I'm looking to keep it as long as I can, but I'll probably be wanting to replace it as a daily driver soon as the payments are up.

the s2k is made to be a weekend autox/track day car...I plan to use it as that ^_^

Most of the roadsters I've owned over the years are now worth multiples of what I paid for them, but that doesn't mean that the same will be true of the two we own now. Our Miata is 16 years old now, but it's as much fun now as when new, so there is no good reason to replace it. The only reason I can think of that might make the S2000 any different is if it should turn out to be too unreliable (a possibility, since it's been modified). The market value of the cars is irrelevant; All I care about is whether or not we enjoy owning them.

Interesting to see the amount of people with an s2ki age less than 2 years with used s2k's that love it so much.

I figure the S2K will be as respected and desired in about the same way this great car was.....the original Z car in all it's beautiful glory.
