Default What would equal Boxter S?

Hi guys.
Have you read the current Road and Track article on the ten best sports cars?
1. Corvette
2. Porsche Boxter S
3. Porsche Carrera
4. Lotus
5. S2000

Its OK to be behind four of those cars, but tough to be behind the Boxter S (knowing its not just a Boxter).

Are there any reasonable mods to bring a S2000 into the Boxter S range?

Also, can a 2002 model undergo reasonable suspension mods to equal the current model?

Myth.

Bumpsteer aside, handling goes to 00-01 > 02-03 > 04.

The basis for this assumption; personal belief or experience, magazine article, hearsay, Honda salesman? Just curious. Everything I've seen and heard says the 04-05 is the best handling. Kinda makes sense to me also. Honda builds a roadster with performance and fun factor as the main goal, and makes it a worse performing car as the years progress. Refine the suspension geometry, add bigger tires, all to make the car perform worse? Interesting.

The S2k beat the Boxster S in the R&T test back in 2000.
