1 more speakers
2 glass rear window
3 auto locks button for both doors
4 glove compartment instead of secret compartment (easier to get to while in the cockpit)
5 oem front grill matching body color
6 nicer tail lights
7 instead of trunk space: light hardtop convertible
etc etc
i love the car but these are some thing i wouldve taken into mind if i were part of the aesthetics squad!

Hmm...

Lighter- 2400lbs... I could live without a power roof, and without other luxuries like a/c or airbag SRS systems in this car. That wouldn't be PC though...

a better rear diff- clutchpack...

And a more professional sales team to sell the car! Honestly, I think the worst sales team in the country sold me this car... the only saving grace was that the salesman was a friend of mine, but that doesn't make up for the terrible service I experienced everywhere else when negotiating the sales contract! It's been over 6 months since I bought the car and I still feel like I got hosed...

The plastic window doesn't really bother me, I just wish that it would fold PROPERLY on it's own, eliminating the hassle of having to check it for kinks at the mid point of it's travel.

i feel your pain. i too feel i had one of the most unknowledgable salesteams and dealerships. they didnt know what was flying and i knew much more bout the s2k than they did!
im still waiting for my soiler kit and alarm they owe me!

If Honda were to do this again......

1) Get rid of the digital dash! I hate it!
Give me "Honda" classic gauges. White on Black Tach, Speed-O, REAL TEMP and oil pressure, etc...
1) A 2.5 V6, 315hp, 200-225 lb torque SCREAMER engine.
2) Glass rear window.
3) "Separates" speakers system. Get the "highs" up where we can hear them not speakers in the doors covered by our legs!
4) Better paint on this hand built machine. I have Black and it has a good nit of "Orange peel" look. Jags (perfect hand rubbed "laq" of old), BMW, Volvo and even the NSX have better "sprayed" blacks.
Don't get me wrong I love the car, I JUST UNWRAPPED IT MYSELF!
31 total miles on her today!

I don't understand why you guys want a V-6 with more torque and hp...if that's what you want, get an M Roadster (well, I-6 is close enough). Besides, having those would drive the price way up as well...and the price is one of the great things about this car.

My 2 cents...


1. Glass rear window (nice engineering and quality control Honda engineers) slight sarcasm

2. V6 prefer the one from the NSX, If Mazda can have the Ford 5.0 easily drop into the Miata and call it the "Monster Miata" then the NSX engine shouldn't be too bad.

3. 18's instead of the 16's the S02's are great, maybe an inch or two wider.

4. The nav system from the Japanese S2K

5. The digital display grows on you so it's ok, analog gauges? Then you lose some of the uniqueness of the S2K would not mind a few more bar graphs for oil, water, tire pressure? (Why not?)

6. HKS Exhaust systems as standard.
