Something tells me they used an impact wrench on your lugs to even get those rears on the fronts.

Below are the hub bore sizes.

F 16X6.5.....+55mm.....70.7mm hub bore

R 16X7.5.....+65mm.....64.1mm hub bore

As you can see the rears shouldn't even fit the front.

Pull the wheels and do a visual inspection of the back sides of your wheels and the hubs. It should be easy to see if any damage has occured. I'd also check my rotors for warpage.

Mattfeet,

This is unfreakin' believable. It's DejaVu big time!

I was at the dragon 2 years ago with my new to me 2001 S2K. Did the dragon twice, ran all through the mountains in N.C. and Tenn. and then drove the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way home.

A coupla miles from the end of the BRP, I turned into a gift shop parking lot and to cut a long story short, 3 lugs on the right front and 1 on the left where sheared off!

Turns out (after I had it towed to a Honda dealer) that whoever last put on the tires put the correct tires on the front but on the WRONG rims.

Jeezus, scared the hell out of me and the wife, we put on over 1,500 miles on that trip by then. It was raining cats and dogs the whole day; we were lucky as hell...

Anyway, I had the car a little over 2 months by then. The Honda dealership in Charlottesville Va. went over it with a fine tooth comb and everything was good. They remounted the tires on the correct rims and I haven't had a problem since.

You were lucky too! At least the lug bolts didn't shear off.

Good luck,

Pat

lugs and studs are most likely compromised as well.. I had this happen to me where a shop put my rears on my fronts and I did not realize it until a month later (new owner back then and did not know the differences).

I was taking the wheels off in a shop one day and the studs broke off on the left front when I loosened the lugs.

I would demand new everythig because it is too dangerous to trust any part of anything after that

Update:

Took the car to a Honda dealer today to get everything inspected. Only damage is to front fender-wells and a slice in one of the tires. Not sure if thats related or not. Shop said they wont do anything until they see the car, which wont be for a month or so. Oh well, well see how this pans out.

If nothing is damaged then just move on. If you have damages then get compensation for it.
