I'm thinking about getting wheel locks and keeping them away from anyone who shouldn't be taking my wheels off.

I would go and change their personal tires and rims to some stupid size. see how they like it...

but you know if life lessons has taught me one thing, it's to check other people's work on your car. They don't care or take pride in their work, 99% of the time.

Why is it going to take them a month before they see it? Are they expecting you not to do anything about the slice in the tire for a month. And if it does end up being their fault, are they going to give just one new tire or replace all four? If their only going to replace one tire, it is better to do it now than later when the treadwear could possibly be different.

Damage or not I would get a refund from that shop. You could have died if those wheels came off. Maybe get them to replace the rears too, because they did cause the trouble.

Honda put 42psi in my rears during my 30k and bring them from 5/32 to 0/32 in the middle and 4/32 on the outsides, they gave me a 50% refund.
At least get a refund! That's insane

I would demand that they pay for all repairs needed. also, I just had my fronts replaced today...I always check to see that they are in the right direction. sometimes i don't have time to do my own oil change ( I work 70+ hours a week) so i take it to a shop once in a while, but i always stand next to the guy doing the job so i can make sure he's doing it right.

I would get a refund for the service and never go back there.
