Just start calling dealers to see who has what coming in and when. When calling I made it clear I wanted a car with no more than 15 miles on it right out of the gate. That's what I did when I got my car (Blk/Blk 2004, got it about 6 weeks ago). I found a dealer that was expecting the car I wanted in the color I wanted within a week of calling. I gave a cc number, they called when it got there. It had 7 miles when it was done with the pdi. I did not have them wax or detail it and they were more than happy to comply. They had the viewpoint that if I would rather do it myself, it was just saving them cost and manpower to do it. It was a 200 mile sunny day drive home and I was that much closer to being done with the break in period. There are enough of these cars out there new that it should be no problem unless you are not willing to travel.

You can always buy one from Hartopguy Gantley honda and save yourself some hassel. There's usually a link around for 30,995 if that doesn't appeal to you then do some research write down exactly what your willing to pay for the car and the interest rate. I suggest <4.5% (mine was 4.39%) and <$30,995 (Mine was $30,250) unless you've got bad credit and write down about the dealer prep etc... 20 miles... Don't buy the warranty from the dealer or window etching or rustproffing. These things are overpriced! you can buy the extended warranty from gantely for next to nothing I got 5/100 for $830 compared to $1200 at the dealer! Window etching isn't worth it at all anyway and no you don't have to have it done to get a loan. Walk in to the dealership, right up to the first dude you see that does spook you out and say this is what I want if you can do this for me right now then you have a deal. If he comes back with a higher apr or any bs turn around and head to the next Honda dealership.

Maybe talk 'em into a few oil , diff, & trans drainplug washers & a couple quarts of Honda MTF assuming you'll do maintenance yourself.

I had to order mine too. You can get them from www.hardtopguy.com for a good price.
