Default whats better

ok i have a friend that is looking at getting an s, he has seen mine and has fallen in love with them. he can't seem to make up his mind if he wants to get an 08 at a used price or if he wants to get an ap1.

he is looking for low miles either way. he can't make up his mind if he wants to find a low mile ap1 or get a used 08.

money is not a probem, and he was just wondering which he would have fun with and which would have less problems, knowing that one could be up to eight years old.

i figured that this was by far the best place to get advice. i have only driven my ap2 so i don't know the wonders of the 9k rev limiter, so if anyone has owned both, wha would you suggest

Get an 08 if money is not an issue.

I have been hanging around this forum too long.
9000 rpm vs. 8200 rpm?
ap1vs. ap2?
which is the better engine?

You might just as well ask Shia vs. Sunni?
Will this dispute never end? Will there ever be a peaceful resolution? Oh, the humanity!

I have had both. They are both awesome engines. I miss the 9k rpm, but I like the bit of torque.

I would go with a new one. Factory warrany is a nice reassurance to have sometimes.
