It all depends on what he wants, IMO. If he wants something that is unique in handling, 9k, the lightest S2K stock, and a great race car platform get an early AP1 with low miles. If he wants good looks, more torque, and better interior comfort get an AP2. If he test drove either cars he would feel the difference and should be able to make a decision based on what he wants.

 

You can even get a moderately low mileage AP2 for 16k. I got a 2005 with 38k miles for that price

 

not to mention the new lexus is-f and most b16 motors and the rx7

 

RX8 revs to 8600, RX7, yeah, anything else will blow up shortly after...
