I have seen 2005s with the collapsed lower driver's side cushion and 2000s without the problem. I just picked up my 07 and don

Sometimes I watch people get in my car, and the first thing they sit on, is the bolster on the left of the seat. Mine is like 70% worn, i think I'll have to go in there and fix it up soon. There's a DIY for this floatin around somewhere.

yeah i've seen the diy, but can't seem to find it. Mine is a lil worn from the previous owner, i suspect he or she sat on the bolster before putting the legs in. I managed to 'fluff' it up enough to make it less noticeable.

I think a lot of it depends on how you get into the car. I've learned to PLOP myself into my seat without ever having to put weight on that bolster.

Theres really not much you can do about the leather not getting worn down. Just something you have to deal with. Try to prevent it as best you can for as long as you can. That or buy a race seat

Yup. Sitting on the bolster will mangle it up very quickly.

My '01 has nearly perfect bolsters - you learn to sorta get a hold of the wheel, one foot on the floor and hop right in. Use your left arm on the door sill, right on the steering wheel to hop out.
