wheel spacings
Ok, I got my S and put about 4k miles and six weeks on it before I checked for spring spacers. There was one each in both of the front wheels-I had been tipped off by the finger spacing test. So, I removed all four wheels and checked for spring spacers. After I removed the two front ones, the car dropped about .5-.75" in the front. Now, at almost 6k and two months since purchase, the front passenger has raised about 1.25" between the wheel and body. The driver side is raised about 0.25". Anyone else ever have this happen?
here's what someone said about this:
Right hand drive.
Just about every Japanses car sits lower on the US drivers side. Mine in stock form was 3/4 of an inch lower.
That's the cost of diving on the wrong side of the road. Cars engineered for the guy to be on the right side of the car naturaly won't be ballanced when you swap everything to the wrong side.
So, don't worry too much. Unless she bounces like a 64 Cadilac, or you see visible traces of shock oil on the front or rear shocks, don't worry.
Stick
