When to change oils- all of them.
This might be a stupid question but i didn't know so i need to ask. at what miles should i change the diff oil and trans oil? my car has 47000 miles and the only thing i've done is oil changes.
I see lots of people here change out there differential fluid at around 10 or 15k because they want to get rid of all the metal shaving....transmission fluid I don't know because I changed mine along with the differential at 15k and the tranny fluid was as clean as it came from the new bottle.....but I'm cautious so I'll change out the differential fluid every 10k and tranny every 15k from now on.......

so you guys think every year for the diff and trans?
Honda's recommendation:
Differential
Normal duty -- 30k miles or 2 years
Severe duty -- 15k miles or 1 year
Transmission
Normal/Severe duty -- 120K or 8 years
I do mine at the end of every autocross season, which is 1 year and about 8k miles.
I would say that you are way over due either way for the diff change.
Personally, I do my own. It's easy and inexpensive. If I had to go to a shop, I would deal with an independent shop rather than a dealer and I would supply the fluid to make sure the right stuff is used.
