When do you know its time for Diff change?
Well I'm getting mine changed tommorow, MOBIL one 75/90 baby!! Well I havent heard anything wth my car driving in reverse or whatever. I never have launched her, so tempting....but not on the s2k.
So what are the symptoms? I think she got changed out at 20k or 19k and its about 14k miles later so I'm doing it anyway just cuz shes babied!!
Will I notice anything after shes changed out? thanks

its only under severe circumstances that you'll notice a difference. noises start when people have 40 or 50k+ miles on their original fluid!
when you drain the fluid, you will notice a lot of sludge (especially during breakin) on the magnetic drain plug.
since you're changing the fluid 15k miles after your last service, you will not notice a big difference. actually, every 15k miles is pretty good for this car. some people even push it to 30k, but that is under "normal" operation. most of us drive in "severe' conditions so its advisable to change it out every 15k miles. i personally change the fluid out once a year or two, its cheap insurance (only $8.50 for the fluid) and we all know how weak the torsen diff is on our cars.
