The green s2000? It's at least 4 weeks old because I saw a thread on it before. I believe it was a long process for the custom paint because they took the engine out to paint the bay as well.

They took a lot of parts off, but certainly did not remove the engine. It was just painted up to the inside edge of the hood.

VintageMac, I'm sorry for the confusion. I must've been confused with someone elses car but one out of two isn't so bad - Sorry for the offtopic but what was the original color?

As for front plates, I have to have it on my current car because it would look worse without it. I have an 'EZPass' automated toll piece on it because EZPass said the windshield piece does not work on 02+ Maxima windshields

Just curious and I'm sure it depends on location but if I get pulled over and am issued a ticket for missing front plate, is it just a fix it ticket?

I agree Silvernights post. The Angled plate looks good!

I bought the car as Berlina Black. That way the black in the door wells blends with the black interior. If I had painted a Rio you would have seen green and then yellow and black when you opened the doors.

I need a place to relocate mine too. i just dont to hassel with getting pulled over. im planning on getting a snorkal, so of course my plate is going to be mounted some how on the lower grill to the drivers side. i'll probably tie them on there with cable ties after i get the front bumper repainted.

VinatageMac- how much did that paint job cost you? I was thinking about just repainting my whole car too but i dont want to pay for the engine bay/interior. the cheapo paint jobs here cost around 400-700 for just taping off the stuff that arent going to be painted, i think it cost a little more to get the inner panels (like when you open the door etc) to get painted. just wondering how much you got yours done for

That sounds like a couple of guys in a back alley with spray paint cans. For a full color swap, you really need to add another '0' to the end of your prices above. Anywhere from $4000-$7000.

Run, do not walk, RUN away from someone offering to paint your whole car for $700.
