Here's a pic of mine:
I mounted my detector directly under the mirror and have the concealed display beneath the air condition controls. I would have put the main unit between the roll bars, but I'm waiting to get the aeroscreen first.
I swear by this detector, saved me numerous times from great distances.
I have mine mounted between the roll bars in front of the windscreen. It sits on a little plastic box so the unit can see over the opaque part of the windscreen. I used velcor to attach both the box and the unit. The concealed display mount sits in front of the radio atttached by velcro also. I usually use the V1 when the top is up. I've noticed that when the top is down the unit is much more visible and the liklihood of getting stopped increases.
The concealed display is mounted on the dash above the driver's side air vent. I used 3M super strong double sided tape, as the Valentine supplied Velcro falls off and gets gooey after a while. I ran a black magic marker (Sharpie pen) along the edges of the DS tape so it looks really professional (no white tape under the remote mount). It hasn't fallen off yet. Also, it sits lower on the dash this way...the V1 velcro makes it sit too high, and it wobbles when you hit the mute button. As with the others, I ran the wires down the A pillar.
Not to intend on knocking the other's choice of mounts, but I find the remote mount works best when it is close to your line of sight. I find it pointless to have to take your eyes off the road to look down at the display (ala Spanky), when instead you should now be looking for the source of the radar signal after you've been alerted to it. It's much easier to do this when it is mounted on the top of the dash, just to the left of the steering wheel. Also, it's real easy to hit the mute button without having to take your hands off the wheel.
It may not work for everybody, but I'm very comfortable with the way t works for me. That's and it looks clean too., which is important with the S2000's minimalist dash.

Cheers,
I agree, but that was the only place that I could really think about. Another problem that I have is that sometimes, my arm blocks the view to the conceal display. What I do like about it though, is that it is concealed. I tried putting the display on the dash, but I didn't like how exposed it was. I even tried to mount it on the top of the gauge bezel which was nice, but the wiring was a little more difficult to hide. For now, the place that I have it mounted will be under the controls until I can find a more suitable place.
I had even mounted the main unit like said earlier, on the right side of the mirror where it was almost comletely hidden except for the rear laser sensor sticking out just a bit. Problem with that is the the control knob was blocked.
I hope someone makes a hidden mount in the visor. Rick?
I will post some pics of how I have installed my concealed display for you. I'm sure when you see how it is mounted, you'll agree that it is very 'clean'. I'll have them for you by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. I'm waiting to get the pics developed as I'm getting new wheels and want to do it all at once. My wheels arrive Monday!!!!
If I can find a digital camera before then, I'll post them before that.
Is the V1 Install permanent? By that I mean ... can it be placed somewhere in someway and taken off in order to hide it and not encourage theft or does it have to be hardwired?
