Join one of the BMW or similar CCA's. Then participate in the Drivers' Ed events at the tracks and Autocross events.

 

I found the web site for the local AutoCross club and they had a picture of some of their top membership...complete with pocket protectors I'm sure I'd have plenty to talk about (I'm a professional Computer Game Developer) but it would be hard on the ego to run against and be beat by these engineers on a regular basis while I am an amateur. Plus, it takes time and dedication to be involved in a club that holds its meets over 2 hours away.

Thanks for the tip, I haven't been out that far but I wanted to take the trip out that way because I've heard its nice...

I've heard of this route before, its on the register is scenic routes at:

We went down 111, across 21, up 11, then 62 all the way across to 66.
